Welcome to my new spot. If i like it, i'll stick around.
There's a huge construction going on in the North suburbs of Chicago. The whole of Interstate 294 is being redone from the border of Wisconsin to the depths of hell (probably beyond I88).
I've always been fascinated with construction machinery. There was a couple of them that were putting down pavement. They look like huge lumbering metal lattice-works. I just couldn't figure out, for the life of me, how they worked. I haven't seen any mixers around, or guys with brushes and like. So I've decided to reasearch it, and discovered something called slipform paving. Here's the example.
AWESOME!!
Now the question is, "Can somebody let me drive the damn thing?"
