There is a link that my wife found on StumbleUpon (thank you!) that shows all rare photos from the production of StarWars. All of the characters, actors, movie staff about the production sets and on breaks. http://www.stumbleupon.com/su/3XaHae/www.mdolla.com/2011/04/star-wars-photos-that-are-seldom-seen.html/

There is this memo going around. And people putting up their versions all over the place. This is my version of what I do. Thank you to Nathan , for giving me the courage.

Just because

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe: All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe. "Beware the Jabberwock, my son! The jaws that bite, the claws that catch! Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun The frumious Bandersnatch!" He took his vorpal sword in hand: Long time the manxome foe he sought -- So rested he by the Tumtum tree, And stood awhile in thought. And, as in uffish thought he stood, The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame, Came whiffling through the tulgey wood, And burbled as it came! One, two! One, two! And through and through The vorpal blade went snicker-snack! He left it dead, and with its head He went galumphing back. "And, has thou slain the Jabberwock? Come to my arms, my beamish boy! O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!' He chortled in his joy. `Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe; All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe.

Something funny something cool

The Soon To Be 6 Years Old - Is Minnesota somewhere where they drink a lot of soda? Now this was picked up by me on accident on the youtube. It's a cover of System of a Down's BYOB by a group of celloists called Break Of Reality. Pretty cool

Music meme

Saw this on Jason's blog, and couldn't resist duoing a music meme. 1.What are you listening to right now? For the last couple of years I find music distracting while at work. I don't know why. 2.What song(s) make(s) you sad? I don't listen music to feel sad, or listen to music that would make me sad. Maybe it's sad by itself. 3.What is the most annoying song in the world? "Beautiful" by James Blunt. Guhd what an annoying song. 4.Your all-time favorite band? AC/DC. Very simple, does not matter lead by Bon Scott or Brian Johnson. Their style of rock appeals to me. 5.Your newly discovered band is? I don't have one. I rarely listen to anything new. Can't find what appeals to me. Axis of Awesome is interesting. 6.Best female voice? Tarja Turunen of late Nightwish. That girl has a set of lungs on her. 7.Best male voice? Tough to say. Ronnie James Dio, Freddy Mercury, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Kipelov (from a Russian metal band I like), Bill Medle...

Pandorring

BEcause I now have a "cool" phone I have decided to give Pandora a whirl. I used to listen to music while I worked. At some point it became distracting and I stopped. I think I am ready again. I have started with AC/DC of course, which gave me "Shoot to thrill". The next song it opened up was "Rock you like a hurricane". Why? - Based on what you told us so far, we are playing this track because it features hard rock root, a subtle use of vocal harmony, demanding instrumental part writing, and (my favorite part) dirty electric guitar solo That's me. The next honors went to Ozzy with "Paranoid". The next was GNR's "Paradize City". The next was Aerosmith's "Dream On" The next was Queen's "Another bites the dust". The next was Zeppelin's "Kashmir". One of the common themes among descriptions was minor key tonality. Wonderful selection. Me likey this.

Jason's Child of TV meme.

Thank you Mr. Bennion for this meme. Now I have been a victim of American televison for only a short period of time, less than 20 years actully. But I do watch a lot of television, always have and always will (unless they invent a technology where I can beam programming directly into my brain). Without further delay, with some notes if a show is worthy of such: Bold if I've seen the at least 3 episodes. Italics if I am pretty sure I watched every single one. •24 - Never got around to watch it. •7th Heaven •ALF • Alias - Jack Bristow is the best super-spy there is, and an excellent father figure. Plus, Jenny Garner. •American Gothic •America’s Next Top Model - I know it might be shovinistic to the extreme, but whats not to like about a show with pretty girls, often enough in bikinis. •Angel •Arrested Development • Babylon 5 - Yes, I have seen all the episodes. I still occasionaly do on Hulu. • Batman: The Animated Series • Battlestar Galactica (the old one) - I did watch the rer...

The high-school meme

I have seen this meme at Jason's , and then my my brother picked up the relay baton. I think i'll go with it fro the reason that I both attended Russian and American high-schools. Here goes nothing. 1. Did you date someone from your school senior year? I had a girlfriend when I was in Russian high-school, moved to the states before finishing the last year, and I didn’t date anybody in the US High-School 2. Did you marry someone from your high school? No, The Awesome Wife is from another city altogether. 3. Did you car pool to school? Nope, we walked. I don’t actually believe I EVER so anybody drive up to the school. When going to high-school in Brooklyn I took a bus, walked (it was maybe 2 miles away, avenue C and Ocean Pkwy to 20th Ave and 60th St), or took the F Train. 4. What kind of car did you drive? We did not have a car in Russia, and I didn’t have a car when living in Brooklyn. I actually resisted my Dad’s attempts to learn how to drive until I was about 19-20. Didn’...
