An eye opener

There is an article in the Tribune that our professor has asked us to read prior the next class. Ivory Tower of Power The article states that there is a "Chicago" goverment installed right now. It also hints at the Clinton administration as being the "Yale" government. So, is there such a thing as a "City" goverment. Harvard goverment, Yale goverment, Cornell government, UCLA goverment? University of Phoenix Goverment? Can these qualifications be accurate in predicting what kind of goverment we will have?

Tuesday morning.

The weather is very un-winter like, with rain and 40F warmth, and fairly disgusting. On the light side, it seems while I was driving Illinois governor Rod Blagoevich was arrested. The charges are forthcoming around 11am. Updated This are the un-official charges. R. Blagojevich and Chief of Staff Harris The government says the two were "conspiring to obtain personal financial benefits" for the Illinois governor by leveraging his authority to appoint a U.S. senator. Blagojevich has the sole power to appoint a successor to the senate seat being vacated by President-elect Barack Obama. The U.S. attorney alleges Harris and Blagojevich are "engaging in ongoing criminal activity." Now, I understand corruption in Chicago. It's normal to have corrupted politicians in Chicago, the city was built on it. For those conspiracy theorists. It could seem as a ploy by a Republican party to sabotage Rod's efforts of putting a Democrat in the senate. I don't believe that pe...

Thew new president elect.

Obama has won. I am happy for America, that we overcame one of the biggest barriers in history. I am sad for America, because I believe the next couple of years will be the toughest. Obama will be tested by others, thouroughly. His resolve is going to be tested by the likes of Ahmadinejad and Chaves. He has a very nice economical crisys on his hands, and by the looks and sounds of his campaign promises it will not be resolved quickly and painlessly. Still, yesterday when he was announced the winner I FELT something. Something changed in the air and it was visible. People were crying, there was hope on their faces. That means something. When listening to McCain's consession speech, I was moved as well. He HAS humility and descency. He is most assuredely a good MAN. What I didn't like is the booing coming from the Arizonian crowd. That was petty! Any honest defeat should be taken graciously, like John McCain did. But all I saw from the Arizonian crowd is grim resolve as if they w...

Politics

Ooooh! I love it. We are in for a real cat-fight now. Whatever everyone else is saying, I like McCain's choice of a running mate. Sarah Palin is feisty! Ole John should let her do the talking. I think that i will wait until the last moment until i decide who to vote for. I loved the fight between Obama and Hillary. It was nails-out-hands-like-a-hurricane-get-out-of-my-way type of fight. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! I can't wait until we get closer to Novemeber. Forget gloves-down. This is already heavy into a mexican-stand-off. One thing I don't like that Obama said about taxes. Taxing people more because they make more is very socialistic. VERY! The approach of rich-people-already-rich-they-can-spare-a-bit-more will scare the businesses and investments away. It reminds me of the thinking that old Soviet Revolution was build on. Leave other people's money alone. ------------------------------------------- On a different not, my little one got back yesterday from day-care yell...
