Another year - another Birthday.

My Awesome Wife has finally caught up with me, age wise. In everything else that matters, she surpassed me a long time ago. All I want to say is that I love you and that I am proud of you.

It seems that one of the gadgets that I was using got rewritten or hacked or something. The blog was redirecting to a tracking site. I apologize. The gadget has been removed. We will continue with a customery lack of new and interesting programming.

Goodness gracious...

This weekend, me and the Awesome Wife have managed to steal away and go to The Theater. I don't know if it was The Theater or a theater but we managed to go and see a show instead of spending the only weekend day we have free from kids running around the stores.

The show we went to see was The Million Dollar Quartet. As the bill promised the show is about a jam session that happened in the 50s with Johnny Cash, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins. At the least the basis of the show and fact that the jam session happend. The song selection was pretty obvious to show all the different hits that these great rock-fathers sang and wrote. It was really good to hear them being sang by such high level prefessionals.

Elvis was Elvis impersonator in real life, with moves voice and attitude to support it. I never was a fan of Johnny Cash or his style and songs, not in a criticizing way but in a "never made it there. I have never listened to Carl Perkins as well, and I think I should catch up on it, him being the father of rockabilly. As far as Jerry Lee Lewis my attention was on him alll the time, being very jittery spazstic and overall not-a-care-in-a-world attitude.

One thing I did not like was the performance of Fever. It just was not saltry enough for me.

Overall I very much liked the show, the songs and the singing were awesome but I was left after with a little sadness. The reason for it I think is after seeing impersonators the sense I can never to see the true legends live.
